This week’s Sunday Stills challenge theme is ‘Emerging.’ See more responses here. I’ve posted photos of this scene before, but I thought a couple more fit the bill for this week’s theme.
This brightly-colored gold dust day gecko lived in a Pepsi machine for a while and regularly emerged from the interior via the coin return slot. Then it would hang out on the edge for while, checking out the scene, before returning to the cool, dark interior.

I’m finally able to comment on your adorable gecko. Graham! Had to use the backdoor of Marsha’s comments to get to your link. I wonder if that gecko gets plenty of bugs to eat? He must be doing OK!

I bet he did just fine for food. Lots of bugs would like the cool dark interior of the machine too. Hope you get your internet soon.

No. Taken years apart and in different locations. It’s hard to tell one gecko from another half the time.

Oh my goodness…he’s cute, but I’d probably scream and drop my pepsi if I reached to grab my change and found him instead. lol.

Everything in the machine was a full dollar amount so it rarely made change.

Luckily, the coin return slot didn’t get a lot of use. Now if he’d been in the tray where the bottles came down …

He almost looks fake in the picture – like the Geiko commercial. He must have the personality to match his looks! 🙂

I think these are the geckos the commercial one is based on. He does look like a little plastic model set on the edge of the slot.
