Hualali from Old Saddle Road

Hualalai from Mauna Kea
Hualalai volcano has an elevation of 8,271 feet (2,521 m). Only the top of the volcano was poking through the clouds on a recent visit to the top of Mauna Kea.

I like the different perspective when seeing things from the water, in this case Hualalai, the third most active volcano on the Big Island after Kilauea and Mauna Loa.
Hualalai from the North Kohala coast
A tranquil view of the volcano, Hualalai. It last erupted in 1801, but is still considered active. If it does go off again, it could be very bad news for the Kohala coast resorts and the airport at Kailua Kona, which is built on the flow from one of the last eruptions.
