      I love watching herons. They seem fairly tolerant of observation and I’ve got some good photos of their activities. I like watching the urchins too, though they are a tad less demonstrative!

    Your photo of the sea urchins is amazing.––as are the rocks with the ancient “writing.” Couldn’t read the description. Have they interpreted what they say? Love the position of mother and calf as well. All lovely images.

        I read the article. Very interesting. Wish they’d shown more photos, though. I think your photo is more interesting than theirs..I take it they made the impressions when the lava was still a bit soft? Interesting about the umbilical cords.
