The Numbers Game #119

A pair of yellow tang dance in the sunlight
Yellow Tangs in a courtship display I think.

The idea of The Numbers Game is to enter a number into the search bar of your computer and then post a selection of the photos that turn up. This week’s number is 241. Captions are on the photos. You can see more responses here.

Your photos are so amazing. I thought the tightly curled plant was an octopus and the insect is like a little jeweled piece of jewelry. Is that fish kissing or eating the other fish or was it just a mid-ocean collision? Every time I see your photos it makes me want to visit Hawaii again. Perhaps I will. I’ve been there twice…in 1968 and 1975. Loooong time ago.Sometimes I hesitate to return to favorite places, afraid they’ve changed too much. Your pictures always suggest they haven’t.Please keep playing the game.

Thanks Judy. I know what you mean about visiting a place and finding it’s changed. I suspect you’d find Hawaii has changed a lot since you were last here. It’s certainly not paradise, but it still has a lot going for it! I think the fish were courting. I watched them for several minutes and they engaged in a quite elaborate sequence of moves including the ‘kiss’ in this photo!

Great photos. I especially like the unfurling fern.

Maybe you can help me. I have not been able to figure out how to create a slide show instead of just individual photos. I am using the free version, so maybe that option is just not available to me? ~Ed.
