The idea of The Numbers Game is to enter a number into the search bar of your computer and then post a selection of the photos that turn up. This week’s number is 205. Captions are on the photos. You can see more responses here.

Java Glory Vine (Clerodendrum speciosum) hails from Indonesia. I saw this one tumbling from a wall on a hike along the South Kohala Coast.

Clerodendrum inerme is a native of tropical Asia and the Pacific. It thrives in full sun and is salt tolerant so it’s a popular plant for landscaping in coastal areas of Hawaii, though it has the potential to become invasive.

Clerodendrum paniculatum flowers add a splash of color to the shades of green of various tropical foliage plants.

Clerodendrum paniculatum is known as the pagoda plant. When I last visited Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden in mid July it seemed like there were fewer plants in bloom than when I’ve visited at other times of the year. But the pagoda plants were rampant and putting on quite a show.
