I often see these red shirts on a neighbor’s washing line, which hangs in a small macadamia nut orchard.

I think this small unit is the local branch of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Seems like a good spot, where they can leap out and apprehend wily immigrants seeking to acquire chicken wings or worse, applying for work.

I spotted this MG in front of the Aloha Man store in Hawi and had to take a photo. I thought it fit right in, even matching the paintwork.
Water banner
There’s a water dispenser in downtown Hawi that’s available 24 hours, seven days a week. Quite a lot of people live off grid here and while they collect catchment water, they often don’t have systems for making it safe to drink. That’s where this spot comes in handy. It could use a new banner though.
