A new business has opened in Hawi, though at a spot that has not been a great location of late. However, the sign is a winner in my book and I liked all the rectangles and lines going on. Perfect for Squares!

I got this snap of Santa as he waited for his order at Plantation Market in Hawi. He looked like he’d lost a lot of weight. No wonder he was hungry.

A view from the post office in Hawi during one of those rainy days when even I feel sorry for bedraggled tourists splashing from one puddle to the next. Nobody comes to Hawaii for this.
I photographed this recent sunset from the front lanai. It helped that I climbed up on the railing, which allowed me to omit most of the wires, poles, and automobiles! Photography is not without risks!
On a recent rainy morning I saw this web outside the window. The spider was hunkered down in the center and did not appear much interested in finishing the job. Perhaps it was holding a tiny unseen placard demanding better working conditions.
