I saw several Monarch Butterflies on my last visit to Hawai’i Tropical Botanical Garden. This one was exploring a large leaf.



I spotted this Paphiopedilum Irish Forest ‘Hsinying’ orchid at Hawai’i Tropical Bioreserve & Garden. The flower got my attention, but then the bugs took it away. They’re sword-tailed crickets, specifically Nanixipha nahoa.

I was taking photos of this Vriesea Bromeliad when I noticed the gecko doing its morning yoga. I believe this is the backward bending lizard pose.
