I liked how the moon illuminated some cool clouds one recent evening.

On my way to work one morning, I had to stop and take photos of these unusual cloud formations along the South Kohala coast. I haven’t seen the likes of this before or since.

On a recent walk at Upolu, the wind was very light, an unusual occurrence in that area. As I walked past the cattle pasture, I got a long stare from this one. But it turned out, irritating as I can be, the flies were a greater bother. The whole herd was engaged in some vigorous tail swishing to very little effect. Luckily the winds returned the next day and most of the flies were blown away.

After recent rain, the sun came out and illuminated the water drops on coffee berries in the yard.

In this view of the coast at Lapakahi State Historical Park, the large rock in the foreground was believed to be the home of Ku’ula, the fishing god. Local fishermen would leave a portion of their catch for him and, in return, would catch many fish next time they went out.
