One of the tables at a local coffee shop has a chess board painted against a colorful background. Not sure whether chess pieces are available for those who want to play. If they do, it’s worth noting that chess is a very geometric game.

If only there was another sign! That would help me understand. Needless to say, people walk their dogs here, or just hang out under the giant Banyan trees, without repercussions. I think the main purpose of the signs is in case someone does themselves a mischief. Then the property owner can claim the miscreants were trespassing.

A new business has opened in Hawi, though at a spot that has not been a great location of late. However, the sign is a winner in my book and I liked all the rectangles and lines going on. Perfect for Squares!

I got this snap of Santa as he waited for his order at Plantation Market in Hawi. He looked like he’d lost a lot of weight. No wonder he was hungry.
