A Gold Dust Day Gecko on a shiny counter. This is one of my rare phone photos. My phone camera isn’t the greatest by any means, but it was all I had for this one, and I wanted to capture the reflection and the gecko’s inquisitive nature.

But they’re not the only ones.


This gecko appears to be figuring out exactly how it’s going to get to the Visitor’s Center at Hawai’i Tropical Bioreserve & Garden. I didn’t wait to find out if it made it.
