Not sure what these plants are, some kind of agave I think, but they’re in an enclosed courtyard that was getting the last of its afternoon sun when I was there.

Shadows on the road
The road from Waimea to North Kohala is lined by trees in many places. They’re intended as wind breaks I think, but in the late afternoon light they cast strong shadows across the road.
